Skyline’s Chicago Broadway Summer Camps offer a fun and fulfilling musical theatre experience for ages 5-14. From an exciting first day of getting to know a show, to an exhilarating final performance, an experienced Skyline teaching artist will guide each cast to create a fully-staged musical.
Every actor will be assigned a named role and have a chance to shine onstage as they learn to work together and fall in love with performing. Days will be packed with singing, acting, and dancing rehearsals, creative drama activities, team-building, and fun in the sun!

Skyline Children's Theater is so excited for this winter/spring session in Chicago! Another season of Broadway fun is coming! Join us for the winter/spring 2023 production of Lion King Jr! The African savannah comes to life on your stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle... and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. Best of all, everyone is sure to make a new friend!
Juniors (5-7)
Broadway Juniors gives young actors an encouraging introductory musical theatre experience, from an exciting first day of getting to know the show to an exhilarating final performance. Every child will be assigned a named role and have a chance to shine. With the guidance of an experienced teaching artist, actors will learn lines, song lyrics, and dances to bring the story of Lion King Jr. to life on stage. Families will be provided instructions for how to assemble a costume for the final performance on stage.
Stars (7-12)
Broadway Stars gives growing actors an immersive musical theatre experience, from an exciting first day of getting to know the show to an exhilarating final performance. Every child will be assigned a named role and have a chance to shine. With the guidance of an experienced teaching artist, actors will memorize lines, sing solos, and learn fundamental musical theatre choreography to bring the story of Lion King Jr. to life on stage. Families will be provided with instructions for how to assemble a costume for the final performance on stage.
Performers (11-14)
Broadway Performers gives middle school actors a professional musical theatre experience, from an exciting first day of getting to know the show to an exhilarating final performance. Every child will be assigned a named role and have a chance to shine. With the guidance of an experienced teaching artist, actors will memorize lines, sing solos, and learn challenging musical theatre choreography to bring the story of Lion King Jr. to life on stage. Families will be provided with instructions for how to assemble a costume for the final performance on stage.

We want to give one more round of applause and all our congratulations to our wonderful actors and fabulous instructors Mr. Jared, Ms. Melanie, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Reilly, Ms. Megan, Ms. Hannah M, Ms. Hannah A, Ms. Ashley, and Ms. Mandi on an amazing summer and a collective 30 outstanding final performances!
We are so proud of our actors for sharing their talent, imagination, and teamwork to bring the stories of Moana, Wizard of Oz, High School Musical, High School Musical 2, The Descendants, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Annie, Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Lion King, and our Disney Showcase to life onstage this summer. We hope your actor had a wonderful time experiencing the magic of theatre with Skyline! Recipient of the 2018 Illinois Theatre Association’s Creative Drama Award, Skyline Studios is ready to get kids safely back onstage for a summer of fun. With highly-trained teaching artists as their camp instructors, children ages 5-14 will learn to sing, dance, act, and work together to bring a story to life onstage in fully staged musicals and ensemble-based musical showcases. |

PREVIOUS SHOWS - SPRING 2022Congratulations to all of our actors on an incredible spring show season! We had over 35 performances of Descendants Jr. and it was nothing short of magnificent! ...er, should we say "Maleficent!"
