Today I had the chance to meet, too briefly, with the New Trier district drama teachers. It was a wonderful opportunity to see where some of young actors are headed. It was clear that these educators are passionate about their jobs, departments and giving all students an opportunity to participate in the wonderful world of theatre! Whether they teach at the elementary, middle school, junior high or high school level-they all have a similar philosophy. This philosophy aligns closely with our beliefs at Skyline Studios.
At Skyline our philosophy is teamwork, confidence building, and creating an ensemble cast. We focus on the process of creating a show and believe that there is no such thing as a small part. It is all about the TEAM! The emphasis is not on how many parts/lines you receive, but rather the experience and what YOU can bring to the group. Every actor deserves to feel confident and enjoy the magic of performing!
I felt that this philosophy was shared with the community and was proud to spend part of my morning with such dedicated, talented and compassionate individuals! We are lucky to be involved in a community with so many theatre options and wonderful educators!
